Aviva Investors has named Paul Abberley as interim chief executive, following the departure of Alain Dromer.

The company will continue to recruit for a permenant CEO internally and externally.

Abberley, who is currently chief executive of Aviva Investors London and global investment solutions, will assume responsibility for the global business with immediate effect, and will join the Aviva Group executive committee.

Paul Abberley joined Aviva Investors at launch in September 2008 as chief executive of Aviva Investors London, leaving his role as London CEO at ABN Amro Asset Management.  Prior to that he was global head of fixed income at Lombard Odier.
