BMO Financial Group (BMO) will expand its asset management business into Australia, operating as BMO Global Asset Management.

BMO’s Australian branch will be based in Melbourne under the direction of Ravi Sriskandarajah, the former head of institutional business at BlackRock.  Sriskandarajah has more than 15 years of asset management experience, most recently as head of institutional business at BlackRock, a post he left in April of this year.

BMO Global Asset Management has over CAD $130 billion in assets under management, and has offices in North America, London, Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
