Jupiter has hired former HSBC and Henderson man Richard Wilson as head of marketing.

Wilson, who joins Jupiter during November, will have responsibility for the fund group’s global marketing strategy. He most recently worked at HSBC Global Asset Management and has previously held similar roles at Henderson Global Investors and New Star.

He also served as chairman on the Investment Management Association’s retail marketing group between 2009 and 2010.

Maarten Slendebroek, Jupiter’s distribution and strategy directorsaid: ‘Jupiter has, in recent years, expanded beyond its domestic base to new regions, successfully building client relationships in markets such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Singapore. We are delighted Richard will be spearheading the continued internationalisation and reach of the Jupiter brand.’
