A nice  bit of digital marketing from the team at Standard Life yesterday using twitter – that demonstrated an all important ability to actively engage with their social media following.

Under their handle @sl_adviser they proposed the basic question:

Which of these RDR (Retail Distribution Review) areas are you finding hardest to meet?

At the date of writing (and in less than 24 hours) the Twitpoll had received 20 votes and 5 retweets from a total twitter following of 1248.  The multiple effect (influence) is substantially higher then this.

Its a simple example using a readily available social media feature.
